  • Basic introduction to Reishi extract
Reishi(The lingzhi mushroom)is a polypore mushroom belonging to the genus Ganoderma in Chinese medicinal history for more than 2,000 years. Ganoderma lucidum, is classified as top grade medicinal materials, first appeared in the second century BC in the Shennong's Herbal Classic which collected 365 drugs into three grade, top, meida, and low. Reishi are effective and non-toxic uppermedicine[1]. Reishi contains a variety of bioactive ingredients such as polysaccharides, triamcinolones, sterols, nucleic acids, proteins, peptides, fatty acids, among which polysaccharides and triamcinolone are the key pharmaceutical ingredients. Modern pharmacological studies show that Reishi has the effects of immune regulation, anti-body aging, anti-radiation, anti-tumor and so on. Currently, the Chinese Pharmacopoia and American Herbal Pharmacopoeia and Therapeutic Compendium  are all loaded with Reishi, indicating that Reishi's medicinal value is well received.
 
  • Raw material advantages of Yongyuan Bio Reishi Extract
For raw material, Yongyuan Bio Reishi extract have a very large advantage. We use the Ganoderma lucidum which the Compendium of Materia Medica detaily records that Ganoderma lucidum is bitter and non-toxic, and mainly helps chest distress, palpitation, and even intelligence[2]. For Reishi spores,this extremely tiny egg-shaped reproductive cell are ejected from Reishi folds during mature period. Therefore, Reishi spore powder has all the genetic material and health effects of Reishi. The study found that Reishi sporesand Reishi extract have the same effect of enhancing the body's immunity, suppressing tumors tumors, protecting liver damage, and radiation protection.
 
In the artificial cultivation of Reishi’s sporocarp, Yongyuan Bio's factories never pick Reishi spores during the mature period.   • Detection method of Yongyuan Bio Reishi Extract
The market size of China's plant extract industry in 2018 is more than 25 billion yuan, and output is as high as about 154,000 tons[3]. China plant extracts market takes more than 10% of the global marketplace. Although Chinese domestic plant market size is increasing year by year, health food industry has not been unified testing standards.There is existing the behaviors of illegal addition of substances or transformation of the production process more or less. According to the Reishi polysaccharide test method stipulated in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, the standard substances in the experiment was glucose[4]. However, crude polysaccharide determination in Chinese Health Food Efficacy Ingredient Detection Method, the content of polysaccharides in plant extract is judged by glucan standards[5]. Although different standard solutions both can measure the polysaccharide content of Reishi extract,the latter is more stringent than the former one.
